DO: Glow Wild at Wakehurst Place

Glow Wild, held at Wakehurst Place in West Sussex, has been on my radar for the past couple of years but by the time I usually get round to booking it’s sold out. So this year I’m determined to get in early before everyone else does.

Held from 2nd to 18th December in the grounds of the gardens – part of London’s Kew Gardens – this magical lantern festival is the perfect pre-Christmas treat for kids and adults.

Lantern-lit trails transport you through the spectacular grounds, past rolling meadows, atmospheric woodland and fire-lit ponds. The 16th century Elizabethan manor house is also transformed and visitors end their walk at the UK’s tallest living Christmas tree to enjoy hot chocolate, mulled wine and toasted marshmallows.

Guaranteed to get you into the Christmas spirit and make you feel all warm and fuzzy. Book tickets here.
