DO: Glug Brighton @ Sallis Benney Theatre

Get ready for another inspirational Glug event, brought to you by Agency Rush and Crush Creative. Not being a huge networker myself (too scary!), nothing fills me with dread more than walking into a room full of strangers. But Glug is different – you feel like part of the gang from the beginning, brought together by a mutual love of creativity, intrigue and the promise of something a bit different.

The next event is on Friday 13th March and will be celebrating PASSION. Attendees will hear stories from four speakers: Matt SewellFran VillianiAdam Kemény and Toby Amies. All stepped out of their day jobs to explore their creative passions, resulting in great success. From bird watching, blogging about food, film making and testing the limits of a photobooth, their personal stories will (hopefully) inspire you to follow your passion.

There will also be a screening of The Man Whose Mind Exploded, an award-winning documentary about Drako Oho Zarrhazar who lived in Brighton, directed by Toby Amies. Drako had connections to Derek Jarman, Salvador Dali and even dealt drugs to the Stones! It’s a story about mental illness, art, faith and love and will be followed by a Q&A with Amies.
