Handa’s Surprise at Brighton Dome

Join Brighton Dome and the Little Angel Theatre for a delightful puppetry adaptation of Eileen Browne’s classic picture book, Handa’s Surprise. Every child will have read the book, but now’s their chance to see their favourite characters come to life.

Handa's Surprise at Brighton Dome

When Handa journeys to the next Kenyan village to see her best friend Akeyo, she takes seven delicious fruits as a surprise. But seven different animals have seven very different ideas … After all, who could resist the sweet-smelling guava, the ripe red mango or the tangy passion fruit?

Live music, spectacular puppetry, audience participation and lots of singing come together to create a magical show for all the family. Part of Brighton Dome’s Black History Month celebrations, children will be captivated by this charming tale.
