Brighton is renowned for having some of the best clubs in the South East, so it is with much excitement that we bring you news of The FunFair Club – a brand new late-night venue opening this weekend.
With its iconic seafront setting, The FunFair Club promises something out of the ordinary, decadent and unexpected, with hidden passageways, gypsy carts, secret sideshows and the piece de resistance – a Punch and Judy DJ booth. Oh yes, we like the sound of that. There will also be snake charmers, magicians, hula hoopers (a la Grace Jones?) and sword swallowers for your amusement.
Best known for their London clubs, The Bathhouse Bishopsgate and The Baby Bathhouse, owners Tava O’halloran and Daniel Wright made quite a name for themselves on the London clubbing scene. Not only did the venues win accolades such as Time Out’s Club of the Year and Vogue.com’s Hottest Venue, the likes of Paloma Faith, Vivienne Westwood, Henry Holland and Prince Harry were regularly spotted rolling up to party.
This all bodes very well for its new Brighton club. We just hope that there are bigger names than Peter Andre and that bloke off EastEnders on the VIP roll call. See you on the other side.
We have 15 guest list places to give away on Saturday 14th July. Just sign up to Brighton Starling’s newsletter for a chance to win. Competition closes at 5pm on Friday 13th July.
