It’s nearly May Bank Holiday, which means it’s time for the return of the Foodies Festival. Taking up residence on Hove Lawns from 2nd-4th May, the festival celebrates its 10th birthday this year and is a gastronomic delight, featuring food and drink theatres, top local chefs, live music, Street Food Avenue and a giant Pimm’s Teapot.
Some of the best chefs in Brighton and Sussex will be showcasing their cooking skills over the weekend in Brighton – we’ll be devouring treats from Stephen Crane (Ockenden Manor), Douglas McMaster (Silo), Alun Sperring (The Chilli Pickle), Matty Bowling (Terre a Terre), Ollie Couillaud (Sam’s of Brighton), Josh Stanzl (i360) and Andrew McKenzie (Drakes).
We’ll also be on the look out for Masterchef winner, Ping Coombes, Great British Bake Off winner, John Whaite and wine aficionado, Charles Metcalfe, who’ll be bringing a little celebrity glamour to proceedings.
As we’ll be incapable of moving after eating our way around the incredible food arena, you’ll find us slumped in a deck chair in a food coma, possibly drinking from the giant Pimm’s Teapot.
We have three pairs of tickets to giveaway, simply sign up to our newsletter or share this post on social media to be in with a chance to win. Competition closes at noon on Wednesday 29th April.
